This section is designed to help new refugees.

If you have received a positive decision on your asylum claim please skip to “What should I do first?” at the bottom of this page.

If you have received a negative decision on your asylum claim from the Home Office, your decision letter will explain the reasons. You may be able to make a legal challenge to the Home Office’s refusal. This is called an appeal.

If you receive a negative decision PAFRAS can help with:

  • Advice and casework
  • Mental health support
  • Food parcels and toiletries

every Wednesday from 9:45am at St Aidans Community Hall in Harehills. Drop-ins are extremely busy. Arrive early to give yourself the best chance of being seen.
